We are looking for a Social Media Manager to lead the day-to-day presence of Fellowship of Montgomery across our social platforms, ensuring consistent posting, strong engagement, and clear communication. This is a hands-on role for a creative who loves people, loves the Church, and enjoys telling stories through photography and social-first video. The work includes capturing weekly services, ministries, and events, editing photos, and publishing photos and short-form videos that highlight the life of our church. This role also leads our photography volunteer team by scheduling, training, and creating a steady capture rhythm so we never miss what matters. Paid social advertising is part of the job, managing campaigns through Meta Business Suite and adjusting based on performance to help reach new people and keep our church family engaged.
We are looking for someone who can capture strong photos in live environments, create simple, effective short-form video, and stay up to date with what is changing on social so our content remains current and effective. This role fits someone who takes initiative, moves projects forward, and does not need prompting for the next step. Strong proficiency in Lightroom is required, along with confidence with a camera and an understanding of lighting, composition, and workflow. Comfort editing short-form video for social is needed, with Premiere Pro preferred. Experience running paid ads through Meta Business Suite is a plus. Success looks like social channels that feel alive and consistent, content that connects people to Jesus and to our church community, healthy engagement throughout the week, and dependable event coverage. If this sounds like you, we would love to see a portfolio or examples that show your photography, editing, and social media work.
