Purpose:
The Worship Leader assists the Lead Pastors in cultivating a life giving, passionate and skillful culture of worship at Discover Church (“Discover”) through the spiritual and musical leadership of professional (“Staff”), Discover Dream Team and other people or groups as assigned by the Lead Pastors.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Lead worship for the services of Discover Church as scheduled by the Lead Pastors.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of the music.
- Assist in the training and coordination of Discover Worship vocal/band teams.
- Assist the Lead Pastors with department planning and implementation of department projects and assist in achieving weekly goals.
- Contact potential Dream Team members and help them go through the process of becoming a member of the Worship Team.
- Assist in the care of the Discover Worship Team.
- Participate and help accomplish major Discover Worship projects and department goals.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Train, coordinate and schedule the vocal teams.
- Manage the budget for the DC Worship Team (includes stipends for band members and vocalists)
- All other duties as assigned.
